Every story has a beginning. Ours began in the Miraflores Clinic, our very first healthcare unit. A decades-long journey driven by a constant need to excel has made this flagship unit into what it is today: a leading clinic with state-of-the-art equipment that stands at the forefront of medical and laboratory technology.
This unit provides leading services in over 40 medical specialties/services, with around 200 physicians, a team of highly qualified nurses and technicians working together to provide precise diagnoses and expert treatment, tailored to the needs of each patient.
From the various medical fields available at the Miraflores Clinic, five areas have benefited the most from renovated spaces and new equipment. Imaging now provides Interventional Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D Mammography with tomosynthesis, 128-slice low-radiation CT and, of course, Ultrasound. Cardiology for adults, children and can perform fetal echocardiograms. Adult and child Pneumology (including pediatric and preschool respiratory function tests and sleep tests) and Gastroenterology is only the second healthcare unit in the country to have digital PET-scan capabilities. The clinic is also a Nuclear Medicine trailblazer, paving the way for more efficient, precise and comfortable techniques to diagnose and treat oncological diseases. One of the facilities is a SPEC-CT, which combines state-of-the-art gamma camera technology with a CT scanner. Also noteworthy is the Ophthalmology department (adults and children), which is fully equipped for diagnosis and outpatient treatment (Glaucoma, Retina, Diabetic Retina, Cataracts, among others) with state-of-the-art equipment.
The clinic’s Endoscopic Techniques Unit within Gastroenterology is where an experienced team performs exams such as upper endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, proctology, total colonoscopy and rectosigmoidoscopy. These exams are fundamental for both the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases.
