Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women, with 7,000 new cases in Portugal in 2022. The complexity of this pathology requires a highly qualified and experienced team, from the early stages of diagnostics.
Joaquim Chaves Saúde created the Breast Cancer Center to provide rigorous, precise and effective diagnoses and treatment of breast cancer, bringing together every service, exams and state-of-the-art equipment, so that each patient receives the most adequate treatment. This includes 360º monitoring, from diagnosis, staging, surgery, systemic therapies (such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy or immunotherapy) and radiotherapy.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is a challenging moment, but with early diagnoses and proper treatment, it can be cured. Our patients can count on a dedicated Oncology Patient Manager, who handles every question from patients and their families while liaising with the clinical team about progress, treatments and procedures.
