Paediatrics

Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. Pediatricians provide outpatient and inpatient care, monitor growth and development, and manage both physical and mental pain, chronic or acute.

In most cases, General Pediatrics handles initial consultations. From there, regular appointments with a Pediatrician can help children and adolescents as they grow.

The in-consultation assessment of the child by the specialist in Paedopsychiatry includes family and social evaluation and intervention, as well as psychopharmacological intervention, while respecting the well-being, rights and privacy of the child.
